Waiting for the Train

My wife is an amazing photographer, and I love this picture that she took of me holding my son while we waited for a train.

Jason Davis Blog Redesign

A few months ago, I had the privilege of working with Jason Davis, a local photographer, on the redesign of his blog.  He and I collaborated on the design, and I built out the site.  It features a huge area for content and lets you add a comment without having to reload the post (something I probably need to add here).

If you’re looking for a photographer in the Knoxville area, you need to check out his site.  You’ll see that he does some first-class work.

Texas Capital

I have about 40 blogs that I follow through RSS feeds.  Of those, my favorite photo blog is called “Stuck in Customs.”  The guy features amazing photography from all over the world.  Very inspiring stuff!

I am responsible for this, not my daughter.  But she did think it was funny.

View from Our Kitchen Table

Saturday, December 13th, 2008

Although missing the luxury of sleeping in late with my wife on a Saturday morning, my daughter and I were up early eating cereal.  She’s the one who noticed the moon, and I managed to capture a bit of our view.

I really do love Tennessee.

On a Swing Together (in TN)

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

Yesterday, I decided to hang a swing in the back yard. My parents gave it to us a couple of years ago, but we’ve never had a good place to hang it until now.

Although I was able to throw the rope over the branch from the ground, I had to climb up to get it placed correctly on the branch (and also to show my wife that I hadn’t lost my tree-climbing touch).

My kids love swinging, and it turned out great.

Lan was in town for the weekend, and she’s the one who took the photo of me in the tree.
